Ingredients
- 5 1/2 oz. Bittersweet chocolate, in chips or small chunks
- 5 1/2 oz. butter, softened
- 3 oz. brown sugar
- 3 oz. white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 8 oz. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 or 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 15 chocolate truffles
Directions
- Turn oven to 375°F
- In a bowl, place the softened butter and beat with a wooden spoon until creamy. Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix well.
- Stir in flour, nuts, chocolate chips and milk, and mix until you have a soft and moist dough.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough into the baking sheet, flattening with the bottom of a wet spoon. Place a chocolate truffle in the middle, and then cover with a small scoop of dough on top.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden but soft.
- Remove from oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool down completely.
