Il Volo (English: The Flight) is an Italian operatic pop trio, consisting of singers: tenors Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto, and baritone Gianluca Ginoble.

The three pop-opera singers started their career in 2009, when they met on the second edition of the Italian RAI TV music competition show Ti lascio una canzone, held at the Ariston Theater in Sanremo.

The young men of Il Volo are back with another new song. Gianluca Ginoble is the youngest member of Il Volo and the only baritone (Piero and Ignazio are both tenors). He was born on February 11, 1995 in Roseto degli Abruzzi, in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. His family lives in a nearby small hilltop town called Montepagano.  Il Volo Website

Ignazio Boschetto is one of those talents that arise from time to time to remind us that human beings don’t just born with gifts and abilities, those qualities can be seeked and developed without limits.

Ignazio was born in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna – region of northern Italy -, but grew up in Sicily, more precisely in Marsala, Trapani. He is the son of Vito Boschetto  and Caterina Licari and has an older sister named Antonina (Nina). The Boschetto – Licari  families are from Sicilian origin and live near Marsala and Petrosino.  Il Volo Website

Piero Barone

Piero Barone is what you might call a phenomenon. Whoever watches one of his performances, his solos in particular, will have no doubts about his future in music, even if he chooses going for lyrical music or stays in pop-lyric featuring the group to which he belongs. This is our Piero, a member of Il Volo along with Ignazio Boschetto – both tenors – and Gianluca Ginoble -baritone.  Piero was born in the town of Naro, Sicily, southern Italy, an Agrigento province, on June 24, 1993.
