Veal Chops Pizzaiola

Veal Chops Pizzaiola is a deliciously simple recipe. This flavorful recipe can be made using veal, steak, chicken, fish or pork. I’ve always preferred the tenderness and flavor of the veal.

In this Veal Chops Pizzaiola recipe the garlic, oregano and tomatoes enhances the already delicious flavor of the veal.on the side.


Serves 6 people

  • 6 veal chops 1/2 inch thick

  • 1 bunch of long green onions sliced

  • 1 green pepper, sliced

  • 8 white button mushrooms, sliced

  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • 2 Tbls of extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 Tbls of butter

  • 2 15oz. cans of diced plum tomatoes

  • 1 Tbls of dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 1/2 tsp of fresh ground black pepper

  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped


  • Season the chops with salt and pepper

  • In a large saucepan sauté the chops in the oil and butter until browned. About 3 minutes on each side.

  • Remove the chops from the pan and keep warm

  • Sauté the garlic, onions and peppers until tender about 2 minutes.

  • Place the chops back in the pan

  • Add the mushrooms

  • Add the tomatoes and sprinkle with oregano

  • Cover and cook for about 1hour until tender

  • Garnish with parsley
